God’s Wide Recievers
12/15/21, I had this thought in a dream. I saw myself, and all of us, as a Wide Receiver for God working on that end goal to get to eternity through this tough and fallen world.
God is the QB. He is always throwing us the pass. We choose whether to make the effort to catch the ball, even though we may get hit. We may even have a penalty thrown on us, but we know we can advance the ball if we catch it. The defenders are the evil ones. If God throws that pass and we just do nothing with it, we go back to the line of scrimmage and we may even get an offsides penalty and go backwards.
The best part is when God throws those passes we catch those passes, and we continue to fight hard for every yard, moving closer and closer to the end zone, until finally we get that touchdown pass that brings us to eternity. It was hard work. We took some beatings along the way. We may have been disappointed with a bad pass or there was a missed pass interference call, but we trusted in our QB. All the while we had others around us helping us get to the goal line and we tried to help our teammate achieve the same objective. Touch Down! We make it to eternity. It was all worth the effort! Don’t stop fighting for every yard, the end goal is so worth the effort.
