Sword of the Spirit

To use the Sword of the Spirit you have to have God’s Word in your heart and mind. Be ready to be called into action to combat the attacks of the enemy. To do this you have to be in God’s Word daily and commit it to your heart. Here are some verses and tips to get you going.

John 8:31-32 “31 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Start a daily routine. Do you think you can become proficient in something without investing any time in it? If you put zero to very little effort into learning what God says about how we are to act and react to the situations and people we encounter each day, then why are you surprised when your life has not changed?

Jesus came to show us “The Way”; how to live. If you are looking for comfort in worldly ways, they will only be temporary. Many try to suppress their afflictions with addictions like Alcohol, Drugs, Porn, Work, Money. These, too, are temporary and will lead you to further misery. True healing comes from a relationship with God our Father through His son Jesus Christ. Start reading the Bible. The bible is God’s Word to us. You will start growing in your relationship with your Father who can give you true healing. Through His Word you will be able to combat the enemy. The Bible is God’s love story to YOU! You are His most prized possession and He loves you. So much that he sacrificed his only son Jesus so we could have an everlasting relationship with Him.
