simple Message with a lot of details

LOVE (We can love others that we disagree with, but don’t compromise your beliefs)

  • You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. Luke 10:27
  • Jesus replied: “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ Matthew 22:37
  • Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31
  • “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. John 13:34

Surrender – Not just on Sundays but daily and in everything we do!

  • Matthew 16:24-25 (Trust in God) His Will be done not ours. (Pure Faith)

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. (This means surrendering your life in this world)

Abide – Put God first in every area of your life (Draw Near to God, and He Will Draw Near to You James 4:7-10)

  • John 15:4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. (You will wither away)

Pray – In all situations!

  • Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Be on Guard – When you get out of your car and walk to your destination, you do not think much about it. Would you have acted differently if you were told there was a Lion prowling around wanting to devour you?

Simple Instructions (Warnings)

  • John 16:33 – I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
  • 1 Peter 5:8 – Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
  • The wage of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life. Romans 6:23
  • If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instructions, even their prayers are detestable. Proverbs 28:9
  • Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:10-12

Some things to think about:

  • Stand Firm and don’t compromise. “Just because we live in a Godless culture, doesn’t mean we have to have a Godless culture live in us”. This is a quote from my Pastor I had to share.
  • The Gift – God gave us something more valuable than anything else, it’s beyond comparison. The gift of eternity. All He asks of us is to share that gift before He takes us home. This is our Mission! Once we were saved, we became a citizen of Heaven.
  • God Loves you! He asks that you put Him first. Then abide in Him and His Word. It’s not enough to just read the Word, or to even know the Word, you must abide. My abiding means to apply it every day.
  • He asks us to pray, continuously and in all situations.
  • He asks us to have faith in Him, not this world. Your Will be done, not mine.
  • He tells us we will have trouble because we are in a fallen world, but also lets us know this is temporary. When we do what He has instructed us to do we will be protected. Then He offers us the chance to have everything (Eternity with him).
  • BIBLE – Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth
  • He also gives us many warnings, then tells us how to be protected from the evil one of this fallen world.
  • He gives us rules, not because He is mean, but because He loves us, just as we do with our children. These rules are to protect us.
  • He gives us every opportunity to choose Him, but doesn’t force us because of free will. He wants those that want Him.
  • Then He asks for us to spread his message so that we can complete His Son’s mission of salvation to as many people before we are taken home. (The Great Commission)
